Paper Proposals-Culturally Sustaining Approaches to Assessment in and Beyond School Settings

Dear ESERA colleagues,

The Journal of Learning Sciences invites papers for a Special Issue to be published in 2025 entitled, “Culturally Sustaining Approaches to Assessment in and Beyond School Settings.”  The Guest Editors (Erin Furtak, Hosun Kang, and Chris Wright) welcome authors to submit their extended abstract outlining their contribution (approximately 1,000 words, including references) directly to the guest editors via the online form below.  Authors from non-dominant groups (Black authors, indigenous authors, authors of color, queer and trans authors, disabled authors and others) and intergenerational and multi-national author teams are particularly encouraged to submit work to the special issue.

Please note that the paper proposals (1000-word abstracts) are due June 30, 2023.

More information and submission instructions can be found here: JLS SI (2025) Call for Proposals.
