We are inviting you to submit your abstracts (300 words) until the 20th March 2017. Accepted abstracts will be invited to submit extended abstracts (6 pages) that will be peer reviewed and published. The feedback will include recommendations for submissions of full papers to associated journals.

The keynotes for this conference include Professors Sigrid Norris (AUT, New Zealand) and Ken Tobin (The Graduate Center at the City University of New York), who will share their thoughts on video-visuality and its relevance to education and educational research.

The conference will include a Pre-conference workshop with Sigrid Norris for PhD students and interested researchers on the 16th June.

With a focus on visuality we welcome all, including teachers, researchers, technical experts, filmmakers and all those who take an interest in discussing and exploring:

  • Video/visuals in research
  • Video/visuals for education
  • Video/visuals and the analysis of complex and multimodal interaction
  • Video/visual and the handling of complex data

The topics of the conference aim to be of relevance to researchers and practitioners working with video and visual media with an overall aim to reflect on different approaches to working with visual material in teaching and research and provide a forum to explore the perspectives on context, design, methods and analysis. We are looking forward to meeting with you in June 2017.

Warm greetings
