Call for recruiting Strand Chairs for ESERA2023 conference

Dear ESERA members, This call is for asking voluntary researchers who would serve as strand chairs at the next ESERA conference (https://www.esera2023.net).  ESERA strand chairs have a fundamental role in guaranteeing a high level quality of the conference by giving their contribution in managing the review process of their specific strand in close cooperation with the scientific committee (related to the conference) as well as in the process of the collection, selection and publication of the e-proceedings, for which they will result officially Co-editors.

Particularly, in close cooperation with the scientific committee, Strand Chairs are expected to give their contribution in:

(a) confirming submissions belonging to their Strand or proposing an alternate Strand (asked before the conference);

(b) managing the review process within the strand (asked before the conference);

(c) putting together the paper sessions of their Strand and contributing to the organisation of the scientific programme (asked before the conference);

(d) briefly reviewing and accepting/rejecting submissions for the e-proceedings: for the e-Proceedings, Strand Chairpersons will be responsible for managing the chapter, writing the introduction and will be acknowledged as Co-editors  (asked after the Conference);

(e) selecting submissions/presentations to be invited for the printed Book of Selected Papers (asked after the Conference but participation at the Conference is important for this selection).

Strand Chairs will be in charge for the whole duration of this process, that means from the abstract submission period related to the Conference until the finalisation of the e-Proceedings.

If you would express your interest, please fill in the following form by September 5th: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdumIGAmPfw5fSSA8DYmx2d0JLIaaKnREKNPO3Pesh3s-2cwQ/viewform
