When submitting a symposium, you will be required to submit an abstract of up to 300 words for the symposium as a whole, as well as an abstract of up to 300 words and an extended summary of up to 1250 words, (including references, excluding Tables and Figures), for each of the four papers that will be included in the symposium.

Proposal Submission Process

Before you can submit a proposal or register for the conference, you will need a valid ESERA username and password. When submitting a proposal you will also need to ensure that your email address is up-to-date in the ESERA members’ database and that you will not be using multiple email addresses when interacting with the on-line conference system.

If you are submitting a symposium, you will need to ensure that the email address entered for each participant (i.e. authors, chairpersons, organizers and discussants) matches the email address they have entered in the ESERA database. Consequently, in order to submit a symposium, each one of the participants of the symposium should be an active conference participant with a registered ESERA login/password. In order to submit the symposium you will need the registered email for all the symposium participants. The email address will be used to retrieve the participants’ details from the ESERA members’ database.

Call for Proposals

Publications

The ESERA 2013 Conference will publish an edited eBook: all authors whose submissions will be accepted for publication will have the opportunity to submit an 8-12 page paper for inclusion in the eBook, after successful review by the Strand Chairpersons.

The ESERA 2013 Conference will also publish a hardback book of selected papers in association with Springer Publishers. Strand Chairpersons will propose presenters who will be invited to submit chapters. Submissions of chapters for this book will be blind reviewed by two independent experts and also the Book Editors.

Cyprus

We hope the conference will be an enjoyable experience for all participants. Cyprus is a beautiful Mediterranean island in the south-east cornerstone of Europe. The University of Cyprus was established in 1989 and strives to assert itself as an institution of scholarship and creativity in eastern Mediterranean. Nicosia, the host city, deserves a visit for its mediaeval walls, its narrow streets and its many tavernas where you can find delicious Cypriot food and wine. It is a rather small city of 200000 people with warm summer days but cool evenings, excellent services, infrastructure and organization.  The city is 40 minutes away from some of the best beaches in the world and only about an hour away from some of the oldest surviving wall and floor mosaics in the world.
