There were two candidates for one position on the ESERA Executive board: Ellen Karoline Henriksen from the University of Oslo and Mariona Espinet from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. We wish to thank both colleagues for offering their candidacies and for working with us so effectively in the preparation of the election process. All members of ESERA were invited to participate in the electronic elections. The results were announced at the General Assembly of the ESERA 2013 conference in Nicosia.
Ellen Karoline Henriksen is the new member of the ESERA executive board with 344 votes; Mariona Espinet gathered 338 votes. The new member will participate fully in the active decision making of the Executive Board and will take over the portfolio on Special Interest Groups (SIGs). This involves liaising with SIG Co-ordinators, promoting the development of new SIGs and also presenting to the Board any new SIG proposals
