ESERA SIG 1 – Early Years Science Workshop in Peyresq

Dear colleagues,
We hope you are doing well and come back to you regarding the ESERA SIG 1 – Early Years Science Workshop in Peyresq, which will take place on May 12th to 15th 2026.
Peyresq is a small paradise, a village in the middle of the Alpes (in France near the Nice international airport and train station). The aim of this workshop is to bring together international specialists in science education research working with young children (3- 7 years old) and to create a space to share and to bring together and cross-fertilize communities and generate international projects. The workshop is organized in conjunction with the Association Physique à Nice, the MSHS Sud Est (University Côte d’Azur) and the INSPE of Academy of Bordeaux (University of Bordeaux).

It will cost 340€ per person for ESERA members (260€ for PhD ESERA members), we still are waiting for fundings and it could be less. It includes:

  • Accommodation for three nights in a basic room located in a house in the village.
  • French breakfast, breaks, lunch (buffet with local products) and diner.
  • Pick you up from Nice on the 12th of May early in the morning and bring you back to Nice the 15th at the end of the afternoon (it takes around 2h30 to go from Nice to Peyresq).

We still have place for 6 participants (and more if you agree to share a room).

It would be great if you could tell us as soon as possible if you plan to participate so we can estimate our number.
Could you give you answer before the end of March ? We will the open the call outside the ESERA SIG community.

Read more and apply for participation here.
You can read more about the workshop here.

Warm regards,
Iria Vazquez, Morten Rask Petersen and Estelle Blanquet
