Call for an Editor-in-Chief for the ESERA Book Series
The ESERA Board invites ESERA members to apply for the position of Editor-in-Chief for the ESERA Book Series. The new Editor-in-Chief will replace Manuela Welzel-Breuer and will work closely with Editor-in-Chief Albert Zeyer and the new Editorial Board Members.
The ESERA book series, Contributions from Science Education Research, aims to synthesise, for the benefit of the scholarly community, the findings of high quality, theoretically-framed research in the domain of science education as well as comprehensive explorations of specific methodological strands in science education research. The term of service will be for 4 years and will start in February 2026. The responsibilities of the Editors-in-Chief include:
- Lead communication within the Editorial Board
- Serve as the main contact between the Editorial Board, the ESERA Board, and Springer
- Oversee the review and selection of book proposals
- Ensure the quality of publications and adherence to the ESERA’s vision
- Reports on activities at ESERA conferences
- Promotes the book series
Selection Criteria
- Extensive experience in publishing, editing, and mentoring
