Following up on the results of the ballot and the suggestions of the membership, the ESERA Board has decided to organize a trial summer school in June 2017. The timing was decided in an effort to balance the viewpoints of as many members as possible and also with the aim to establish an adequate time interval between successive summer schools for PhD students. An open call will be issued inviting expressions of interest for organizing the ESERA Summer School 2017 (June 2017). All previous summer school organizers will be eligible to apply, alongside any other members who might be interested.
