Call for Papers: IJSE Special Issue on Pedagogical Content Knowledge in 21st Century Science Education

We are pleased to announce the upcoming special issue of the International Journal of Science Education titled “Reexamining the Utility and Role of Pedagogical Content Knowledge in the Context of 21st Century Science Education”.

The call for papers for this special issue is now available on the IJSE website. We invite researchers and educators from all levels of science education, as well as from different countries and contexts, to submit their work and contribute to a critical discussion on the evolving role of pedagogical content knowledge (PCK) in contemporary science education. The deadline for extended abstracts (600 to 1,000 words) submissions is March 31, 2025 and the deadline for full paper submission is September 15, 2025.
