ESERA 2025 - Copenhagen

Call for Papers: Symposium on social media and climate change

How are students using social media in the topic of climate change, which literacies are required for acting competently in these new media environments and how can we foster them in science education? These questions will be addressed on a symposium at Leibniz University Hannover (Germany) on the 09. and 10.03.2023.

The call for papers can be found at ResearchGate: http://dx.doi.org/10.13140/RG.2.2.11328.40962 . Proposals up to 1000 words are expected until the 10.10.2022 via EasyChair: https://easychair.org/cfp/someclics23. Contributors to the conference will be asked to also write a chapter for an edited volume about the topic. The symposium is organized by the SoMeCliCS project, which aims to understand the role of social media for the topic of climate change from the perspective of science education. Further information on the project can be found at www.someclics.com. For further information write Dr. Alexander Büssing (buessing@uni-trier.de). This also concerns interested early career researchers without sufficient travel funds.
