Job position

Job profile:
In this position you will carry out high level research and specialise in a particular field. You will hold
your own lectures, tutor students and participate in administration.
Main tasks:
• Independent research in the field of science education (biology and environmental education);
• Independent university teaching;
• Contributing to organizational and administrative tasks in the department of subject-specific education,
area of science education;
• Supervision of student teachers;
• Participation in the management, submission and coordination of national and international third-party
funded projects.

Required qualifications:
• Completed doctoral studies or PhD in biology and / or science education (biology);
• Completed master/diploma studies in science education (biology);
• Experience in teaching at university in science education (biology);
• Mobility experience;
• Experience in the acquisition of third-party funds and / or participation in third-party funded projects;
• German language skills, if not L1: C1 (CEFRL);
• English language skills, if not L1: C1 (CEFRL);
• Desired: Experience in teaching at school in science education (biology);
• Desired: Management competence;
• To be innovative and creative;
• Willingness to communicate and cooperate with members of other subject-related faculties /
departments of the university/students/teachers working at formal and informal education institutions at
the national as well as the international level.

Various professional activities support community building in science education, dissemination of
research findings and professional development of researchers from different career stages.
