In the pre-conference workshop, ESERA members will be introduced to the conversations carried out so far in the SIG 8 to support FUTURES-oriented science education. Group activities will be organised to deliberate on draft statements of the Manifesto, which will be the main outcome of the first four years of the SIG. The statements refer to four priorities, chosen so far to underpin FUTURES-oriented science education: problem solving – problem framing; certainties – uncertainties; matter of facts – matter of concerns; and truth – fitness to purpose.
