As you might already know from other communication channels, our ESERA Special Interest Group (SIG) “Social Justice and Solidarity in Science Education” has now been approved and recently launched as SIG 13. Thank you to all the founding members and supportive colleagues who helped us develop this SIG from our past and ongoing activities, collaborations and discussions within and beyond ESERA spaces.
Our official SIG13 email will be this one – esera.sig13@gmail.com. All founding members have already been added to our mailing list, so feel free to message us there should you have any queries, suggestions, etc. Also, we would like to know a bit more about your interests and hopes for the SIG, which we ask you to please let us know by completing our short Google Form for SIG13.
[Please note] Being a founding member of SIG13 does not mean that you are automatically registered in ESERA’s records as an ESERA SIG13 member. Official membership to ESERA SIGs requires selecting SIG13 next time you renew your ESERA membership, so please keep that in mind.
If you were not one of the founding members but would like to join us in SIG13, please register your interest in our Google Form for SIG13. Alternatively, feel free to drop us a message at esera.sig13@gmail.com too.
We also created a LinkedIn page for our SIG13 HERE. Please connect with us there and helps us spreading the word about the launching of this SIG and its future activities by sharing it across your communities =)
We are putting together our first activities for the upcoming academic year in Europe, and will be in touch in early September/2026 through our mailing list.
Thank you for standing with us throughout this!
In solidarity,
Betzabé, Haira, and Giancarlo
