As you can no doubt surmise, we are pleased to announce that our proposal for a new ESERA SIG focusing on systems thinking and modeling in science education has been accepted by the ESERA board as SIG12. We would like to thank all of you for your support as founding members. We were able to include 50(!) signatures of founding members, which played a significant role in the acceptance decision.

In the coming months, we will continue organising the SIG activities, such as the online bi-monthly meetings and the quarterly journal club, building towards the ESERA 2027 conference in Spain. There, we will officially launch our SIG with several events and meetings for SIG members.

We also have a new LinkedIn page, where we can also communicate, share ideas, and exchange information. Please connect with us there.

For clarification, being a founding member of SIG12 does not automatically mean that you are officially registered as an ESERA SIG12 member. Official membership requires selecting SIG12 when renewing your ESERA membership. However, we will continue communicating with the founding members group with all updates and announcements. If you wish to be removed from this mailing list, please inform us.
