ESERA Launches “Conflict Zone Fund” to Support Early Career Academics
ESERA is inaugurating a fund of up to €2000.00 per individual, with a total budget of €10,000 dedicated to support early career academics from conflict zones to visit institutions in other parts of the world and to support their career development at a time of instability in their national context.

Dr Giulia Tasquier elected as ESERA Board member
The ESERA Board is delighted to announce that following the voting process, Dr Giuilia Tasquier from University of Bologna, Italy has been elected as a member of the ESERA Board. Her term will start with the Board meeting in February 2022 for a term of 4 years.

ESERA is calling for nominations for new Executive Board members. Following a move to a new non-academic post, Dr Grainne Walshe has resigned from the Board, and a new member is being sought. Please see the next page for the membership of the current Executive Board.
Call for nominations: ESERA Doctoral Student Executive Board member
ESERA is calling for nominations for a doctoral student Executive Board member following a voting process to amend the ESERA Constitution about the Board membership. A significant majority has voted in favour of the inclusion of a doctoral student member on the Executive Board. Further details about membership are specified in the ESERA Constitution which is available on the website (https://www.esera.org/about/constitution-of-esera).

The ESERA Summer School 2023 will take place in Neustadt an der Weinstraße in Germany from July 3rd to July 8th 2023. It will be hosted by the Institute for Science Education of the RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau.
